Democrat Collaborator Takes Over Republican Party of Miami?

Navy Seal/SWCC veteran Marcus Rivchin has released an email outing lobbyist Nelson Diaz, the newly-elected chairman for the Republican Executive Committee of Miami-Dade County (REC) as a closet liberal for contributing to the reelection of DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman-ShultzThis was just a smoking gun for more shenanigans.

We are now breaking the news that the Republican Establishment and Diaz the new Chair had a registered Democrat manage the Election Meeting as the official timekeeperDiaz is in the midst of a scandal involving the recent REC Election, including being elected with the assistance of Angel Zayas (click for screenshot copy), a registered Democrat. Diaz has made public statements that he appointed Zayas as the official time keeper to enforce “order” in the REC Election.

Correction: I have been informed that a Mr. Eleodoro E. Zayas, a registered Republican and husband to staff member, Aida Zayas was the appointed time keeper. Mrs. Zayas' has since been dismissed from her staff position.

The admission of Mr. Zayas, a non-REC member, still requires explanation. Isn't counter intuitive or at least a conflict of interest to appoint a time keeper that is related to Aida Zayas who is paid by the REC?

If Diaz appointed a Democrat to run a Republican Party Election, shouldn't we ask ourselves why he did it and demand an investigation by the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF)?

The most unethical of all means is the non-use of any means.

Miami Republicans informed us that the Party Establishment steamrolled the nearly 100 committee members at the hastily organized Election Meeting, December 18th. Rules were violated, members were intimidated by security and eventually the election of the new Vice-Chair was invalidated by Diaz despite him swearing in of the Vice-Chair and other duly-elected officers, offering congratulations to them and then adjourning the meeting.

Ten Publicly-Elected Republican Office Holders showed up to cast their votes for Diaz and many left even as nominations were still ongoing. Among them, State Senator Anitere Flores nominated and gave a speech in support of Diaz. The vote for chair was ultimately decided by just 2 votes.

Why did the local Party Establishment promote Diaz so aggressively while hiding his background from us?

Has the local Party Establishment betrayed the Miami GOP to Democrats in order to protect their Private Agenda?

Clearly, the conservative grassroots of South Florida are fighting for survival against lobbyist Nelson Diaz and the local Republican Establishment who put him in power.

Thanks to Navy Seal veteran Marcus Rivchin for speaking out and risking fallout from the Establishment to stay true to his oath to defend our nation from enemies both foreign and domestic.

Dear fellow Miami-Dade REC Members,

At a time when the Republican Party is purging conservatives from its ranks and abandoning the principles of limited government that we hold dear, I thought it would be prudent to share some important information about our new chairman – lobbyist Nelson Diaz.

  • Our now chairman of the Republican Party of Miami supported Debbie Wasserman Shultz – chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee.
  • Nelson Diaz’s lobbying law firm, Becker & Poliakoff, has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates.
  • Nelson Diaz routinely lobbies Republican elected officials to support Democratic big-government legislation that is backed by Becker & Poliakoff.
  • Nelson Diaz also lobbies for traffic light cameras, more and higher tolls, and exclusive gambling rights for certain companies.
  • Nelson Diaz represents one of Obama’s algae ‘green energy’ companies, which has already received at least $25 million of taxpayer money from the federal government, in the state legislature.

Seriously, why would our leadership in the Republican Party of Miami endorse and campaign for Nelson Diaz while hiding these important facts about his record from us?  We may have just turned our party over to the Democrats.
